Please go to our gigs page to see if the GnT Experiment are free on the date of your event as it is not possible for the Experiment to perform at more than one event on a single date.

PRICING

A number of things can affect the price such as location, set-up time, and other special requirements. Please call or e-mail to discuss. If the venue is larger than our equipment can handle (although this is rare) we will need to include cost of relevant equipment hire.

TRAVEL

To work out the travel expenses which need to be added to the band's base price, we will check the distance from our home location (Whitstable) and use the guide below:

First 25 miles - free
26 to 50 miles - add £60
51 to 75 miles - add £80
76 to 100 miles - add £120
101 to 125 miles - add £150
More than 125 miles - price on application (Please see national bookings below.)

TIMES

Band prices for evening performances are normally based on 2 x 1 hour sets or 3 x 40 minute sets. They are also based on setting up after 6.00 pm and the performance finishing before midnight.

CONFIRMATION, CONTRACT AND DEPOSIT

If confirmation of booking is done via e-mail we ask that you provide a phone number so we can call and verify. A contract will be sent to you thereafter. A deposit of 20% of the gross fee will be payable four weeks after the contract has been signed.

NATIONAL BOOKINGS

If your function is more than 125 miles from our base in Whitstable there will be an additional charge covering our accommodation costs for an overnight stay.

EXTRAS

If you would like us to learn a specific tune or tunes for your function then please let us know at least two months in advance of the function date.

Can we choose a specific music for the evening?

Yes. We are happy to learn a maximum of 2 specific requests for your event. Please supply us with your chosen song(s) at least 2 months prior to your event.

How do I book the band?

In the first instance a simple email will be required giving details of the date and location of your event. Booking is then made by signed contract, which we will send on request, and this includes all details including payment and performance times.

How do I pay?

The deposit is payable by cheque four weeks after the contract is signed. The balance of payment is acceptable on the night of the performance or at a reasonable time specified by you before the event. This can be paid by cash or cheque.

How long do you need to set up & sound check?

It takes around 45 minutes to set up and sound check. The room doesn't necessarily need to be cleared for this and we will inform your guests when we are about to start a sound check.

Can you play CDs or background music at all?

Yes. We are happy to supply, free of charge, recorded music during performance breaks only if required. If you require background music for during the evening meal, or disco music after our performance, this will incur an extra charge of £40 per hour.

Can you perform in a marquee?

Yes, a MAINS power supply must be provided close to the performance area with a minimum of TWO SEPARATE 13 amp sockets (not a single 4 block extension lead). Please note we are NOT able to use generators under any circumstances.

Please note that if for any reason we deem the marquee to be unsafe for either our own personal safety or equipment safety (for example power cut or adverse weather conditions resulting in leaks or low temperatures within the marquee) we reserve the right to cease performance at any time.
